My 50mm and my 180mm vintage lenses arrived wrongly assembled: they couldn't focus to infinity. The 50mm I reassembled it myself. The 180mm I sent it back to be serviced; it came back much better, but still with no infinity focus, so I reassembled it too. Now both lenses focus to infinity... and beyond (I'm not a pro, just reasonably good with mechanical things such as these).
In the tests down here you can see what impact this wrong assembly had in image quality: both focus and bokeh were affected, sometimes quite severily.
